Hotel Room Shoot

I thought I should start this forum with post of my own , about a new series I am undertaking. The images are all to be based around a room in hotel, however in this case the room is one we are building as a set in the studio. The idea is it's almost like a portait of the room, the life of the room. There will be 7-10 little "stories", I really like Jim Jarmusch films, Mystery Train, Night on Earth, Coffee & Cigarettes, there are all these stories intertwined...

Concept, planning, pre-production....

The idea for this series came from a shot I wanted to do of Andrew O'Keefe (Deal or no Deal, the game show with the gold cases)...from that idea it developed into a series based on the room.

The images below show my concept sketch, some shots from the mood boards and some shots from the construction of the room. Construction is not finished yet , we need to put a window in and posibly a bathroom (back right corner).

The series is due to be shot in August, I'm hoping for about 10+ final shots in this series.

My intent is to do a demo based around this series & to use this blog to show its development.
